I used to drive past here twice a day on my way to my first job down in Vermillion. This was back when a family was still farming there. It always seemed wrong to me, so I was really relieved when the land was restored, the prairie grasses returned and the trails were added. I try to get over there to walk at least once each summer.

Seems that my heritage is not far away from settlers written about in GIANTS IN THE EARTH but in book DOGGIN STEINBECK, John does reveal much about relationships between reader and writer. Is it ony writers who have obsession to reveal life of some authors who may have inspired generations?

Here’s another one where I made fond childhood memories. They had a Friday afternoon movie program in the summer, that I could ride my bike to and watch movies like old yeller, apple dumpling gang & others. I remember learning how to put together puzzles in the kids section too.

The virtual tour is apparently no longer available. I have been throught the entire website and all links no longer offer it. This is a huge disappointment to me because, as an educator in America, I can’t just pop over to the museum for a field trip with my students. This will impact our instruction on the works of Dickens, which is a shame.
